Paul1962.com is my YouTube channel dedicated to chronicling the 10 Years with My Beloved Boxster: A Petrol-Head's Automotive Journey of a passionate petrol-head, namely me. On the 13th of October 2023, I will be celebrate a decade of ownership of my beloved Boxster, a journey that has seen me cover over 62,000 miles of roads filled with memories and adventures, both good and bad. My passion for cars runs deep, evident in the fact that I have a rich history of restoring and modifying various vehicles throughout my life.
My connection with the Boxster is particularly special, as I initially acquired it as a spares or repairs project, turning it into a labor of love, or sweat and blood that has stood the test of time. My dedication to automotive passion goes beyond just owning and driving cars; I have also taken to sharing my experiences with a wider audience through my YouTube channel, where I document the ups and downs, the challenges and triumphs of my incredible journey with the Boxster.
Where to buy stuff
Budget is something that is never far from a petrolhead's thoughts, and even more so with a Porsche. One of the most common questions I receive is: What is the best place to get the part I need at a reasonable price?
If you can save money where you can, it leaves more for the places you can't!
I generally start with sites like eBay, then breakers for second-hand parts, then the specialists and aftermarket, and sometimes you even get a pleasant surprise from the main dealers.
Buying parts is very much horses for courses, depending on the part you need can effect where the best places to buy are.
